Nancy L. Bakalar, MD, ABPN, FABP is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who lives and works in Lone Tree, CO, a suburb of Denver.  She began her training at IPI in 1995 and graduated from The International Institute for Psychoanalytic Training (IIPT) in 2008. She was appointed as an IIPT Supervising Analyst in 2013.  Nancy chaired and served on numerous committees at IPI and IIPT through 2021.  Currently she is an IIPT adjunct faculty and supervising analyst. Nancy established and chaired the IPI Infant Observation Program for nine years.  She teaches Infant Observation Seminars privately across the US.  Nancy is also a faculty member and a TA/SA at the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis and currently serves as Denver Institute's Associate Director and Chair of the Progressions Committee.  Nancy is board certified by the American Board of Psychoanalysis and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.  Nancy is licensed to practice in Colorado and Maryland and sees patients in person and by Zoom.
