Dr. Stan Tsigounis, PhD, licensed Psychologist and certified Psychoanalyst, is a faculty member at IPI and is currently the Chair of the International Institute for Psychoanalyic Training (IIPT) at IPI and is a Supervising Analyst. Stan is also the co-director of the Contemporary Institue for Integrative Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis in Tampa and Sarasota Florida, a post graduate training center for mental health professionals. He has 30 years of experince training mental health professionals in a variety of theories and techiques including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Psychoanalysis, Transactional Analysis, Clincial Hypnosis, Group Therapy, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy and Child Therapy. He is a graduate of 5 post graduate training programs. Dr. Tsigounis is available to provide clinical case consultation, supervison and training to mental health professionals in person or by phone or SKYPE. In addition to his clinical practice of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis with individuals, couples and groups, Dr. Tsigounis provides organizational consulting on creating emotionally healthy organizations to both the public and private sectors. He is the co-editor of a volume titled Self Hatred in Psychoanalysis: Detoxifying the Persectory Object and has numerous other publications.
