Janine Wanlass, Ph.D., is a psychoanalyst and psychologist practicing in Salt Lake City, Utah, treating children, adults, couples, and families. She is the Director of the International Psychotherapy Institute in Chevy Chase, Maryland. She is a graduate of and teaching faculty for the International Institute of Psychoanalytic Training. Dr. Wanlass is a professor of psychology and counseling and former director of the Master of Science in Professional Counseling Program at Westminster College. She has authored a variety of articles and chapters related to couple therapy, including The Couple As Parents: The Role of Children in Couple Treatment (Karnac, 2014), The Intergenerational and Cultural Transmission of Trauma in Chinese Couple Relationships (Karnac, 2014), and Psychoanalytic Family Therapy: A Contemporary Object Relations Perspective (coauthored with David Scharff, M.D., in press).
